Nicole Bloom Dion was an instructor and co-authored the materials for the NBI's Continuing Legal Education ("CLE") program entitled "FDCPA and Collecting the Judgment" in November 2012. Her topics were Asset Location and Post Judgment Execution.
Prior to that in July 2012, Douglas W. Forsyth and Nicole Bloom Dion taught "Collection Law: Debtors, Assets & Judgments" held by Law Review CLE. The topics covered in this class included, but were not limited to: prejudgment discovery, locating debtors, debtor asset discovery, pre-lawsuit strategies, procedural guidelines for filing lawsuits and obtaining judgments, collecting judgments, and creditors' rights when a debtor files for bankruptcy. In May 2012 one of Nicole Bloom Dion's clients recommended she speak and draft material for Higher Education Institutions at the Florida Association of Bursars and Student Accounting Administration ("FABSAA") convention held in Daytona Beach, Florida. Her seminar was entitled "Bankruptcy and The Student Debtor: Implications and Best Practices." In this regard,
Nicole addressed over one hundred educational institutions on the latest trends, best practices, and successful debt collection guidelines for student loans. Her speech covered various topics such as: the history of debt collection laws; legal practices when handling debt collection; and the future of student loans in the United States.

Nicole previously spoke at the "Collections: Seeking and Collecting a Judgment" seminar. She is also credited with co-authoring the instructional materials. The topics covered in the course materials include: collection procedures and rules; effective litigation strategies and motion practices for preventing delays in proceedings; techniques for avoiding improper service of process; methods for effectively navigating the minefield of lien priority conflicts; methods to defeat the shield of bankruptcy using pre-existing, unrecorded liens; the procedural nuts and bolts of judgment liens/garnishment and the exemptions that apply thereto; the traps that trigger liability claims; ways to discover and seize debtor assets; tools for settlements - fraudulent conveyance claims; and judgment procedures when the debtor files for bankruptcy.
Prior seminars that Nicole has conducted include "Collection Law Tips & Strategies", "Bankruptcy and the Legal Issues", "Basic Commercial Litigation", and the "Nuts and Bolts of Collection Law." One or more of these topics covered in these courses included from brief overview of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ("FDCPA:); collection litigation and motion practice; identifying fraudulent conveyances; asset searches and the judgment debtor exam; post-judgment collection strategies; avoiding pitfall when domesticating and collecting foreign judgments; strategies for representing creditors in a bankruptcy; and averting potential ethical problems in collections.

Douglas W. Forsyth supports the fight to find solutions for heart disease and breast cancer. In this regard, he has participated in the "Heart Walk of the Palm Beaches" organized by the American Heart Association and the "Koman South Florida Race for the Cure®" organized by the "Susan G. Komen for the Cure®" organization. Douglas also supports local organizations that help children become contributing members within the community. For example, as a result of his membership with the WPB100, he voluntarily painted and cleaned a new facility for "The Children's Coalition, Inc." . Douglas further supports organizations that help those in need. For example, Douglas has donated food to and volunteered at Feeding South Florida. Furthermore, Douglas supports organizations dedicated to the protect, conserve, and restore natural ecosystems. In this regard, Douglas has volunteered at the Tropical Audubon Society's Doc Thomas House.
Nicole Bloom Dion supports organizations which provide various types of assistance to local women and families. For example, she has served on numerous committees within the Junior League of Boca Raton, and is still an active member of this organization. In 2011, she served on the Diaper Bank committee which opened the first Diaper Bank in South Florida for providing free diapers to local families. She will remain a Sustaining Member of the Junior League of Boca Raton from 2013 forward. As an Co-Chair of the Membership Committee of the Palm Beach County Parents Teacher Association (PTA) at the local elementary school, Nicole has increased membership for the 2012/2013. She additionally volunteered at numerous events the PTA offered such as Book Fairs and Boosterthon. Nicole will be serving a 2-year term as Corresponding Secretary for the PTA at the local elementary school as well as continue to serve as Co-Chair of the Membership Committee and Career Day.
